OnePlus officially announced their first tablet, the OnePlus Pad, back in 2023. It has been more than a year since which means that the tablet is due for a refresh. According to a tip by Max Jambor on X, it looks like a potential launch date for the OnePlus Pad 2 has been revealed.
According to the post, the OnePlus Pad 2 will apparently be announced in the second half of 2024. No specific dates were mentioned, so we’ll probably have the details after June 2024. This means that the time between the first and second tablet launch is more than a year, more than enough time, we suppose.

The original OnePlus Pad was met with pretty favorable reviews. It is one of the better Android tablets to launch in 2023. In terms of price, it isn’t a cheap tablet by any means, but it is pretty powerful. It also sports a pretty nice design and comes with a host of accessories like a keyboard that lets it become a laptop replacement if you want one.
One thing to note is that the OnePlus Pad launched with a MediaTek Dimensity chipset. We’re not sure if that will happen with the OnePlus Pad 2, so we’ll have to wait and see. Maybe OnePlus will go with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, who knows?
