OnePlus Expands its Midrange Lineup with the Nord CE4

[ad_1]

Midrange smartphones are usually a dime-a-dozen, but the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE4 with its relatively-impressive chipset and wallet-friendly price tag is an attempt by OnePlus to undermine its many competitors in the midrange market segment. It’s not yet available in the US, but it does come with hardware that makes us wish that OnePlus would bring it over stateside.

The phone packs a fairly large 6.7-inch OLED display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It was wise of OnePlus to equip the Nord CE4 with the 7 Gen 3, since most mid-tier smartphones tend to compromise when it comes to performance. The phone also features a 50MP main rear camera, 8MP ultrawide camera, 16MP front-facing camera, as well as a 5,500 mAh battery with 100W charging.

Like the rest of OnePlus’ lineup, the handset comes with Oxygen OS. OnePlus says that the phone will receive two major Android version upgrades, in addition to three years’ worth of security patches. The phone is priced starting at ₹22,999 for the base model with 128GB storage and 8GB of RAM, which converts to around $270.

The Nord CE4 is only available in India at the moment though, although we’re hoping that it will eventually find its way to more markets soon.
